- located about 10 min. to famous calabash seafood area. lots of local resturants, capt. pete for fancy, and betty's for regular menu. provisional for lunch and peel your own shrimp located on the inland waterway. 30 min to wilminton for shopping and site-seeing. can take a ferry from southport over to wilmington -for wonderful aqurium and museum. about 45 min to myrtle beach for rides and amusement parks and outlet malls shopping. golf minutes away and lots of it! this area has 300 courses and is a golfer's paradise. people move to north carolina just for the easy close access to all those courses. all ocean front activities: swimming, walking, crabbing, fishing, shelling, games......please call for more information 910-977-4950
